Welcome to Bodega La Tercia, where every bottle tells a story of tradition, dedication and love for the region of La Mancha.
Our philosophy is based on meticulous respect for our vineyards, care for the terroir, and our commitment to certified organic farming. We have inherited from our grandparents the tradition of cultivating vines using manual techniques, from pruning to harvesting, always considering that each vine to be is a unique living being, and that it is our duty to pass this knowledge on to our children.
Our family-owned winery was founded in 1920. Housed in a traditional Manchegan manor, we pride ourselves on having complete control over the harvesting, pressing, fermentation and bottling of our wines. This allows us to achieve high levels of quality at every stage.
Our wines are a true reflection of the diversity in our vineyards. The Airen white wine variety is a classic expression of the unique character of La Mancha region. This is a region-specific variety, perfectly adapted to our extreme climate of hot summers and freezing winters. Tempranillo, another of our varieties, is the most characteristic and distinctive Spanish red wine, bringing tradition and strength.
In our winery, we carry out different production processes for each variety of wine, depending on the type of soil, whether sandy or limestone, and the geolocation of the plot. We number the wines according to the grape variety, the production method used, and the name of the vineyard. All this is done with the aim of providing our customers with as much information as possible. Our brands are distinguished by the attractive names Yemanueva, Yemaserena, and Yemanueva Rosé.We strive to share our passion for wine, and to do so we offer guided tours of our winery and vineyards (minimum 10 people). We also organize tastings led by our sommeliers, suitable for both beginners and experts. Wine is not to be feared, though at first, it can seem daunting. A knowledgeable wine tender can erase those fears while guiding your pallet to a memorable experience. Enjoy tasting our wines paired with typical dishes and, if you wish, you can stay at our charming rustic retreat house, La Casa del Bachiller in Campo de Criptana, next to the Gigantes Manchegos (Giants from La Mancha).
