Roots that endure, vineyards that tell stories.

Enjoy the rustic charm of a family winery established in 1920 that plays an important role in the Community of Castilla La Mancha. For three generations, we have cultivated our century-old Airen and Tempranillo vineyards, prioritizing the uniqueness of each plant. With certification of origin since 1998, our commitment to organic methods is reflected in every step, from pruning to winemaking.

In Bodega La Tercia, our persistent curiosity drives us to constantly reimagine the varietals we grow, resulting in an ever-evolving improvement, small-batch, hand-crafted wines. Rooted in sustainable and organic vineyard practices, we honor tradition while embracing innovation to craft wines of extraordinary depth, bouquet, and a sense of place.

Crops from La Mancha and our Winery

The exact date of the first vine crops in Castilla La Mancha is unclear, but archaeological evidence suggests that they date back to even before the arrival of the Phoenicians to the peninsula in 1100 BC. Throughout Spain’s history, grape varieties have evolved, adapting to the extreme climate, with cold winters and very hot summers, which favors vine growing. The Airen grape variety is native to this arid and harsh climate of La Mancha, growing in calcareous soils at altitudes of up to 700 meters. It is highly resistant to drought and disease.

From the founding of Bodega La Tercia in the early 20th century and inspired by our heritage and by our entrepreneurial spirit, we have accomplished our aim of offering wines of the highest quality. The perfect symbiosis between respect for tradition, sustainable practices and development, seeks out to show our deep appreciation for wine as an art form.
